Recently (last night,) I listened to Feels Like Breakin Shit. It's a compilation album by sElf. I listened to it while doodling Love's drummer.
I don't really have any detailed thoughts on it, but I think it's Really Good and I liked it more than I thought I would (this happens a lot!!)
There's a couple of covers on the album (Let's Pretend We're Married, Moronic, Titantic, Fat Man & Dancing Girl, Hey Lou, Dizzy) and I think the Prince cover is my favorite.
Not because it's signifcantly better, I just like whatever he's talking about at the near end. I don't think there's a Prince album named Swing though.
Pumpkinhead sounds similar to a Smashing Pumpkins song but it's probably just the intro. Compare with Frail & Bedazzled.
The longest song I like very much. It's the header for this entry. Dog You Are is also a favorite.
I don't think I'll shut up about this album for the next few weeks. The World Is Literally Full.
Since I'm on a sElf kick, I'm briefly remembering Love instead of Certain People. I should really start decorating those character pages... The drummer doesn't look 'freaky' enough. She's supposed to be lykoi-looking (she is part dog,) but since I'm not very good at drawing people it doesn't show. I'll figure it out. You'll see. YOU'LL ALL SEE!
I have to finish my doc for them too. I haven't gotten to the part where they start trying to kill each other. I might have to mess around with some stuff, but you do that for everything. Might even have to start over. I don't mind, as long as I'm happy with it.
Slighly personal, I'm planning on going to the Galápagos Islands in the next couple of years. I want to see the finches. and those Blue Footed Boobies. What cool birds!
