I don't have a costume planned at all! I don't know what I'll do. I'm very sad about it. I wish I had that John Henry sledgehammer, but I am not buying that for 90 bucks.
DID YOU KNOW?: John Henry is their best 90's album [In My Opinion.] Flood goes second, Factory Showroom third. This is not up for debate, and I mean it.
ANYWAY, Either this month or June there will be an annoyingly lengthy blog entry about that one guy I don't like very much.
It might be this entry since I have enough free time to do that.
If it is, don't scroll down.
I seriously don't know how people can just churn out paragraphs, even if it's something they're super obsessed with. Maybe I'm just bad at rambling.
Everything after this will be related to this October and/or Spooky Stuff.
It was unaturally warm for Illinosian fall until October. I don't know why that is other than Climate Change. Fuck big companies etc.
At least my good clothes are in season now.
Everyone should read Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark! I only have the second and third book, but those are still good and so are the illustrations.
There's a movie too. I don't know how good it is.
I'd give them a read but I don't feel like it right now, if I remember I'll reread them both. I wish I had a fancy scanner...
Especially for that other book I have, The Haunting Of Cashen's Gap. It's pretty short, same with the Scary Stories books.
They're also in black and white, but one is a stylistic choice and the other is because it's from a 1930's paranormal case.
I have a reissue! It sold out recently(?) but mine is 2 years old at this point. I got it a year after it was published in 2022 (how convenient.)
Shipping was a nightmare so it cost around 32 USD.
I wonder if they'll ever make more copies, but it seems to be a little niche anyway. half of the people invested in the Gef story are Lemon Demon fans.
No this is not me judging. I would know.
The only copies that I can find now are pretty expensive since it's an old book that flopped (like ~400 copies sold.)
Guess I'm extra lucky for getting the newer edition while it was still up for grabs. I'm a little curious why Guillemot Press was the publisher since most of their stuff is poetry. I'm not even sure when they first announced it in 2022.
The first few chapters are available for free if people care that much.
Original 1936 copy on the left, Newer 2022 copy on the right.
Here's my copy with my STUPID THUMB in the way.
Okay, enough with that.
I want some candy. I remember someone handing out a pack of instant ramen for Halloween.
I once had that shitty Cheetos Mac & Cheese the day before. I felt sick.
Candy corn kinda sucks also. It isn't offensively bad but it isn't good compared to other sweets.
Final thing to say: black cats are very cute.
